Lowest Price Samsung i8510 INNOV8 Unlocked Phone with 8 GB, 8 MP Camera, International 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Black)

I got this phone second hand about 2 months ago and it has been great. Works well and I cant live with a small screen anymore.

When it first came out, I wasnt that impressed with it due to its size and the fact that it was a Samsung. However, early this year I became aware of how good it's photos are, and it has far better video capabilities and a much larger screen size than my previous Motorola ZN5, which you can also read my review on, if you're interested.

Good things:

- great photos.
- easy to use.
- good video, though current phones have better cpapabilities now.
- 8 gb on board memory, yet can also inisert own memory card too.
- music player reasonably good. Has 3.5mm jack so can use own ear phones.
- large 2.8 inch screen.
- slider mechanism smooth.
- reasonable phone.
- useful calander.
- calculator. At first I thought it was quirky how it listed every number you type in to be added/multiplied etc. But turns out it's pretty darn useful. Every now and again when I add numbers from a list, I lose track of the number I added. Cant remember? No problem- just look at the list to see the numbers you've entered so far!

Not so Good:

- LCD screen is plastic. Makes it look and feel cheap. The ZN5 I mentionaed before feels like it is a much better constructed and durable phone than this.
- Viewing photos has limited options for editing and installing photos as wallpapers.
- Phone- listening to the other person seemed not quite as clear as my experience with other phones- Motorola ZN5, Sony Ericsson w902, k810i.
- Alarm. While you can set multiple alarms, it's doesnt allow customisation of the days you want. A bit limiting for me.
- Alarm is also a bit soft.

Really Bad:

- One odd incident. Usually the battery stays charged for a day or two. Suddenly after 6 weeks, the battery drained to almost zero in half a day. It was like this for 2 days. I was considering sending it to a service centre, when suddenly all was well again. It's been fine since. I looked this up online and some people have complained the battery drains very quickly. I have no idea why it happened but it's fine now.

Should you buy this phone?

If you wanta phone with a good camera, with a good sized screen, and a keypad which you can get your fingers around easily, running on Symbian 60, then sure, go ahead. It's not the latest tech, but it's good and functional, and sells second hand for almost half price compared to a year ago. It's also a darn sight cheaper than the Nokia 95, Nokia 95 8gb, and Nokia n96, which it are it's obvious competitors.
